    I’m a professional commercial producer. I enjoy working to create innovative and effective products for clients, working with the projects from beginning to end. My writing, cinematography and video editing skills have won me awards and pushed me to constantly try to advance myself forward.

  • Work Experience

    • 2011-Current

      Producer, OnMedia TV Advertising

      Working with clients and a dedicated sales team to create effective single focus TV advertising. I write, shoot, edit, and work to make sure everything gets done on time and looks professional. Constantly striving to elevate the standards of local advertising. Also I was an intern here in the summer of 2011.

    • 2010

      Production Assistant, Documentary

      Assisted the director Francesca Soans on "Waterloo a History of Place." Preformed on location setup and tear down of equipment. Produced production stills and worked to ensure a smooth, continues shoot schedule was maintained. This was a fascinating project highlighting the area where I live and the history that surrounds it.

    • 2009

      Camera Floor Operator, KWWL News NBC

      Worked on the morning news Broadcast. Prepared the set, camera equipment, and did all pre-show checks. I also took care of all the random needs of the talent, and in one rare event changed a studio light 11 feet in the air, on set, during a commercial break.

      B.A. at University of Northern Iowa

      Major: Communication studies- Electronic Media       Minor: Art, studio photography                                     Practiced in the fields of digital video production and film photography. Spent hours working in dark rooms and editing labs; which gave my drive to create creative but still highly polished finished works.

      Hudson Community High School

      To say I was a pirate while my adolescent years waned would be entirely accurate. I attended Hudson Community High School  where I received my general primary education. Lettered in academics, track, and graduated a member of the National Honor Society.

        Lost in the Amazon continues moving onwards with recognition as a finalist in the CAB Awards in New York.

        Did an exceptional job in High School and was asked to join a special society. They offered me a golden pin for my academic letter mans jacket which I accepted.

      • Silver Addy Award 2012Cedar Valley American Advertising Federation

        Won a 2012 Silver Addy Award for "Lost in the Amazon" a 30 second TV commercial produced for University Book and Supply. It was a witty commentary highlighting the use of local suppliers versus going online for products.

        I worked really hard avoiding college parties in order to study. With all the studying came good grades and a spot on the dean's list during my college career.
